Water Bottle Donations for Flint, MI

Over the last couple of weeks, RGBSI has been collecting bottled water to send to Flint, MI. Donations were made by employees here in our Troy, MI office.  We collected enough bottled water to weigh down the back of the Jeep of one of our Recruiters, Stephanie M. (see bottom picture).

They were dropped off on Feb. 23, 2016 at Fishbone's in Southfield, Michigan to be delivered to Flint. We hope that these donations help give some immediate relief to the citizens of Flint and also show that we, like so many others, are here for them.

Flint is need of bottled water due to high levels of lead and other contaminants found in their water supply after switching sources of water when the city went from the Detroit Water and Sewage Department to the Karegnondi Water Authority (KWA) to supply it's water. In the interim, while KWA built new pipelines, Flint switched over to the Flint River for water which started the contamination of the supply. A complete timeline provided by the Detroit Free Press, can be found here.
