A leading manufacturer of locomotives with fully integrated production capabilities to facilitate modernization.
An industry leader in design and manufacturing of new locomotives needed assistance converting its cable routing lines to achieve standardization. The client is recognized for modernizing and remanufacturing diesel-electric locomotives for commuter, freight, and international locomotives.
Project Details
The client needed help converting its locomotive engine cable routing lines to correct single run cables. Ensuring the accurate weight of the materials for weight roll-up, the cable routing project required changing of the current Cleat Assy to a low profile type, reducing the height of the cable bundles on the underside of the vehicle. The cable routing project required that all cleats are sub-assembly, including all parts steel, rubber, and fasteners. Lastly, the client desired the creation of a new improved bracket to hold the traction motor cable connection.
