Client Challenge

The client needed help staying current with its customers increasing assimilation of emerging technology. Irrespective of stringent timelines, customers demanded better performance and higher durability. In addition, the client’s customers required medical components to be manufactured with the minimum cycle time, first time right approach, and with the expectation of the facility to reduce the total cost per component. Due to the traditional methodology of machining hardened materials, the client was running a facility with the inability to satisfy customer delivery dates.

Our Solution

The RGBSI CAM team made an onsite visit at the client’s facility to better understand its current machining process. With the aid of our highly skilled engineers, we delivered an advanced machining technique, designed newly improved fixtures, and suggested advanced tools with high performance and low cost variables. We conducted an initial roll out for the client onsite using the first time right approach. In support of these new improvements, we created standard documents on methodology, tool databases, and cutting parameters for the client’s future reference.
