Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge Announces Record 2013 Grand Total

The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge (DFMC) recently announced their 2013 fundraising grand total: $4,753,873.68, a new all-time record. One hundred percent of these funds will go towards cancer research.

RGBSI's Vice President of Global Operations, Ravi Kumar, was part of this monumental effort, running the 2013 Boston Marathon this past April. Runners help to raise funds for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research, a program that enables researchers to discover potential methods to improve cure rates and quality of life for patients everywhere.

The DFMC has raised more than $61 million to date for cancer research, including funding over 200 scientific investigations. The challenge will celebrate its 25th year at the 2014 Boston Marathon on April 21, 2014. The DFMC hopes to raise $5.3 million in its 25th year.
